Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to inform diagnoses and craft tailored care plans that respect cultural diversity and address specific needs.
- Monitor and document patient progress regularly, implementing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic strategies aimed at supporting mental health diagnoses and improving patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including treatment notes and reports, in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental protocols, utilizing relevant technology for efficient documentation.
- Collaborate closely with patients and their families to design holistic treatment plans that reflect individual goals, placing emphasis on patient safety and symptom management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients and additional service providers, coordinating referrals and fostering strong professional relationships with other clinicians and agencies.
- Engage in mentorship and education opportunities for students, interns, and volunteers, sharing your expertise to enhance the team's overall competency.
- Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision sessions to facilitate peer-to-peer reviews and bring forth ideas that enhance team performance and development.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals from various age groups and cultural backgrounds, addressing a wide range of mental health disorders. Your approach will be tailored to each client, considering their unique life experiences and the sociocultural factors influencing their mental health.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school and a valid clinical license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.
- Must hold a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential as a minimum requirement for this role.
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health conditions and applicable treatment modalities, along with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client base.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of patients and departmental objectives.
- Strong documentation skills, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and corporate policies.
Preferred Experience
- Between six months and one year of clinical experience in a health or mental health setting, providing therapy or counseling.
- Exposure to community health initiatives and familiarity with the specific challenges faced by underrepresented populations in mental health care.
- Experience in a collaborative team setting, demonstrating an ability to work harmoniously with various health care professionals.
