Work Environment
This role is a primarily remote position, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while engaging with students from the comfort of your home. While the work is conducted virtually, our collaborative atmosphere ensures that you are connected with your colleagues and have access to the resources necessary for effective treatment delivery. You will work closely with educators, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to support students effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial assessments to identify and address psychosocial issues affecting students' academic and emotional well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities that include both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, providing consultation on students' psychosocial functioning and advocating for their specific needs within the school system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all social work activities in accordance with departmental standards and ethical guidelines, including adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics.
- Provide psychoeducation to students and their families, promoting understanding of mental health issues and effective strategies for managing stress and emotional challenges.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, staying informed about new therapeutic approaches and resources available to care for our student population.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will cater primarily to school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your experience and empathy will be crucial in helping students navigate their challenges, achieve personal goals, and enhance their overall academic performance.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school.
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential issued by the State Board of Social Work Licensure.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental health practices and an understanding of the developmental stages and cultural contexts of students.
Preferred Experience
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a school or community mental health setting, with a focus on children and adolescents.
- Experience in developing and delivering preventative and intervention strategies within an educational framework.
- Familiarity with local mental health resources and community advocacy.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
