Work Environment
This remote position allows you the flexibility to manage your work environment while being part of a dynamic and empathetic team. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals, all dedicated to providing integrated care tailored to each patient's needs. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients upon intake, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) for accurate diagnosis and development of individualized treatment plans that incorporate cultural and diversity considerations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans through continuous assessment of each patient's progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support their mental health journey.
- Maintain all clinical documentation, including treatment records and patient reports, in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to both regulatory requirements and internal department protocols.
- Collaborate with patients to facilitate the creation of comprehensive treatment plans, focusing on their unique needs and desired outcomes, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care.
- Develop and implement treatment objectives in partnership with patients and their families, addressing safety and symptom reduction while fostering a supportive team environment.
- Coordinate care referrals and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare providers and agencies to ensure seamless transitions for patients requiring further services.
- Provide mentorship and education for students, interns, and volunteers, enhancing their learning experience while contributing to team knowledge-sharing.
- Engage in peer-to-peer review and clinical collaboration, contributing to team member development under the guidance of your clinical supervisor.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At Youth Village Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse clientele, which includes children, adolescents, and families from varying socio-economic backgrounds. As a mental health counselor in this environment, you will focus on addressing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues, ensuring that every patient receives personalized community-centered care.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work and a current license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.
- The minimum requirement for this position is a Licensed Clinical Social Work level (LCSW) licensure.
- Proven expertise in working with patients across various developmental stages and cultural backgrounds, ensuring individualized care approaches.
Preferred Experience
- Between six months and one year of clinical experience, preferably in a health or mental health setting.
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
