Key Responsibilities

• Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments of patients, utilizing evidence-based diagnostics to identify mental health challenges and develop effective treatment plans.
• Intervention and Treatment: Implement individual and group therapy sessions focused on psychoeducation, skill-building, and therapeutic techniques designed to enhance emotional resiliency and functional performance.
• Collaboration: Work alongside physicians, educators, and mental health professionals to ensure integrated care and facilitate communication regarding patient progress, treatment compliance, and resource utilization.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions and patient interactions in accordance with departmental policies and industry standards, ensuring adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics.
• Patient and Family Education: Provide necessary guidance and support to patients and their families, equipping them with the tools to understand treatment recommendations and improve overall health outcomes.
• Service Coordination: Assess the advocacy needs of patients and families, coordinating community resources and support services that foster self-determination and empowerment.
• Continual Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with the latest practices in social work and mental health care.
• Ethical Practice: Uphold the highest standards of ethical practice, maintaining professionalism and commitment to the mission of the Refreshed Mind Clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on serving students and their families within the school systems in Kansas City, Kansas. You will address a wide spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and adjustment disorders, ensuring that every child has the support needed to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, human development, and culturally competent practices.
• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities and able to tailor interventions to meet diverse patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health or mental health setting, particularly with school-aged populations.
• Familiarity with case management and community resource coordination will be considered a strong asset.
• Experience in group therapy facilitation and educational programming is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
