Talkspace Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, California. This full-time, remote position offers an annual salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000. Work Environment
This position is based within a community health clinic but functions remotely, providing you the flexibility to engage with clients from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and accurate diagnoses as needed, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to formulate personalized treatment plans that cater to the cultural and individual identities of each patient.
- Regularly monitor patient progress and adapt interventions to align with treatment goals, ensuring that strategies remain effective and responsive to changing patient needs.
- Maintain meticulous treatment records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures, employing contemporary electronic health record systems to facilitate timely and accurate updates.
- Collaborate closely with patients and a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans, emphasizing shared decision-making and ensuring alignment with the patient's goals.
- Convene and develop treatment objectives collaboratively with patients and their families, addressing any concerns related to safety and symptom management, while fostering an attentive team environment.
- Serve as a referral coordinator, establishing and maintaining productive relationships with other clinicians and agencies, and providing patients access to additional resources and support as necessary.
- Contribute to the professional growth of the team by offering guidance and education to students, interns, and volunteers, thus enhancing the overall caliber of services provided to our community.
- As per your supervisor's direction, participate in clinical peer reviews, chart audits, and developmental coaching, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In your role, you will support a diverse patient population within our community health clinic, addressing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Your clinical approach will be attuned to the unique cultural backgrounds and needs of the patients, ensuring that care recognizes and respects individual experiences.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school is required.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is mandatory for this position.
- Proven understanding of human development stages and cultural competency in mental health care delivery is essential.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective patient relationships and teamwork.
Preferred Experience
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a health or mental health setting is preferred, with an emphasis on outpatient therapy.
- Experience with electronic health records and telehealth platforms is a plus, enabling efficient patient management and documentation.
